Get a Free Camera Inspection & a Second Opinion
We'll locate the problem and give you a written quote. No pressure, no obligation.
Before you invest, let us give you a second opinion.
Most people who land on this page already have a quote from another company — and it is often for a full sewer replacement that may not be necessary. Before you invest, let us run our own camera and tell you what is actually in your line.
- We run our own camera, locate the failure, and tell you exactly where it is and what caused it.
- We tell you if a spot repair will do instead of a full replacement.
- We put it in writing so you can compare our recommendation against anything you have already received.
How do you know you need this?
If any of these sound familiar, a camera inspection is the next step. It is free, and it tells you exactly what is going on underground.
Repeated main line backups
Your main line backs up after cleaning, or multiple drains slow at the same time. This means the problem is in the line, not in a single fixture.
Sewage smell in the yard
A persistent sewage odor outside, especially near the sewer line path, means wastewater is escaping through a crack or failed joint.
A soggy or unusually green patch
In the desert, a patch of unusually lush grass or a damp spot in the landscaping is a sign of an underground leak — often a cracked sewer line feeding moisture to the surface.
Camera showed a belly, offset, or roots
A previous inspection found a low spot, a shifted joint, or root intrusion. These are structural problems that cleaning alone will not fix.
Failed sewer scope on a home sale
A buyer's inspection found an issue with the sewer line. You need a second opinion and a fast, documented repair to keep the sale on track.
Home built before 1975
Pre-1975 homes in Tucson almost universally have original cast iron or vitrified clay laterals. At this age, these lines are at or past their service life.
Why trenchless has a bigger advantage in Tucson than most of the country
Tucson sits on hardpan caliche, which makes excavation slower and more disruptive here than in most of the country. A trench across mature desert landscaping or a paver driveway means restoration work that often costs more than the plumbing itself.
| Factor | Trenchless (CIPP Lining) | Traditional Excavation |
|---|---|---|
| Yard / driveway / landscaping impact | Two small access pits — no trench | Continuous trench across the entire line path |
| Disruption to household | Minimal — no trench, yard usable same day | Significant — yard torn up, driveway may be blocked |
| Expected pipe life | Built to last for decades (CIPP liner) | Built to last for decades (PVC / HDPE) |
| Warranty | Backed by a 15-year warranty | Manufacturer warranty on pipe |
| Restoration work afterward | Minimal — small pits backfilled the same day | Extensive — driveway, pavers, landscaping, and irrigation may all need rebuilding |
Four approaches, one honest assessment
We do not sell one method — we recommend the one that fits your line. Each option below includes when it works and when it does not, so this page reads as advice, not a menu.
CIPP Pipe Lining
Cracked, corroded, or root-invaded pipe that is still structurally intact. The most common trenchless method.
Learn moreSectional / Spot Repair
Damage is isolated to one section. Fixes just the problem area.
Learn moreTraditional Replacement
When the line is collapsed, has a severe belly, or needs rerouting. We do this too — honesty converts.
Learn moreCamera Inspection & Descaling
Before anyone tells you what your line needs, they should inspect the inside of it. Free.
Learn moreA new pipe inside the old one
CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) lining is not a coating. It is a felt tube saturated with epoxy resin, inverted into your existing pipe, and cured into a new, jointless, structural pipe. The old pipe stays in place as the host; the liner is the new pipe that carries the flow.
- Jointless: no gaps for roots to enter
- Corrosion-proof: epoxy does not scale or rust
- Structural: independent pipe wall, not dependent on the host
Eight steps, engineered and specific
You should know exactly what is going to happen at your house. Here is our process — including what you will see on your property at each step.
- 1
1. Camera inspection & locate
We run a camera through your line and locate problem areas electronically.
On your property: A technician with a camera reel — no digging. 30–60 minutes. - 2
2. Written scope & quote
You get a written quote based on what the camera shows.
On your property: A printed or emailed quote you can compare. - 3
3. Equipment staged
Everything staged from the driveway — tarps and plywood protect hardscape.
On your property: One truck, a boiler, and equipment on tarps. - 4
4. Line cleaned & descaled
Hydro-jet and descale so the liner bonds to a clean surface.
On your property: Debris exits through our vacuum — no mess.

5. Liner measured & cut
The felt tube is cut to length and saturated with epoxy resin.
On your property: You can watch the saturation at the truck. - 2
6. Resin saturation & inversion
The liner is inverted into the pipe with air pressure, pressing resin against the walls.
On your property: Air compressor runs for 15–30 minutes. - 3
7. Cure
Hot water or steam cures the resin into a structural pipe — 2 to 4 hours.
On your property: Boiler runs during cure. Site is quiet and contained. - 4
8. Final camera inspection
We camera the new pipe to verify the installation and confirm the work is complete.
On your property: A final camera run confirming the liner is properly installed.
What determines the cost?
Every sewer line is different. The factors that determine what is involved: line length, depth, diameter, access, pipe material, number of bends, whether the line can be lined or has to be replaced, and whether a cleanout exists. No honest company can quote a sewer repair without first running a camera — and ours is free.
Tucson's sewer lines, specifically
Sewer line problems in Tucson are not generic — they are driven by our soil, our housing stock, our trees, and our climate. Here is what is actually going on under your yard.
Cast iron & clay in pre-1970s neighborhoods
Sam Hughes, Armory Park, El Encanto, Blenman-Elm, Colonia Solana, and Menlo Park were built with cast iron and vitrified clay laterals that are now 50–80 years old. These pipes are at or past their service life — and they are excellent candidates for CIPP lining.
Orangeburg in mid-century tracts
Certain mid-century tracts have Orangeburg (bituminized fiber) pipe, which deforms and collapses over time. Orangeburg cannot be lined — it requires replacement.
Desert tree roots
Mesquite, palo verde, oleander, and eucalyptus roots seek moisture in lateral joints. In the desert, a sewer line is the wettest thing around. Roots enter through failed joints and grow inside the pipe.
Caliche & expansive soil
Caliche hardpan makes excavation slow and difficult. Expansive clay soils swell and shrink with monsoon moisture, causing bellies and offsets in sewer lines — even in newer PVC.
Monsoon groundwater infiltration
Summer monsoon rains drive groundwater into cracked and jointed sewer laterals, overloading the system and causing backups. CIPP lining seals those cracks and joints.
Your responsibility for the lateral
Under Pima County wastewater rules, the homeowner is responsible for the sewer lateral from the house out to the public connection. The city maintains the main, but the lateral — including the section under the street — is yours.
Backed by a 15-year warranty
A cured-in-place liner is a new structural pipe inside the old one. It is backed by a 15-year warranty.

Questions we hear most
Every sewer line is different — length, depth, diameter, access, number of bends, and whether the line can be lined or needs replacement all factor in. No honest company can quote a sewer repair without first running a camera to see the actual condition of the line. We give you a written quote after a free camera inspection, so the number reflects your specific situation, not a guess.
The timeline depends on line length, complexity, and how much cleaning is needed. We tell you the timeline before we start, and we stage equipment so your household is disrupted as little as possible.
Trenchless repair uses two small access points — typically existing cleanouts or two pits about 2×2 feet — instead of a continuous trench. We do not cut across your driveway, your pavers, or your mature landscaping. The access pits are small and backfilled the same day. If your line requires traditional replacement, we will tell you why.
A properly installed CIPP liner is a new structural pipe inside the old one, jointless and root-proof. It is backed by a 15-year warranty.
No. Lining will not fix a fully collapsed pipe, a severe belly where the line has settled and holds standing water, or a line that has been significantly displaced at a joint. In those cases, a traditional section replacement may be the right answer. We run our own camera, locate the failure, and tell you honestly which method fits your line.
A belly is a section of pipe that has settled below the proper grade, creating a low spot that traps water and solids. Lining alone will not fix a belly because the liner follows the existing pipe profile — it would just create a new belly inside the old one. A belly usually requires either a spot excavation to re-bed and re-grade that section, or a full replacement if the rest of the line is also in poor shape. We locate the belly and explain your options.
Yes — that is one of the main things we do. If another company handed you a quote for a full sewer replacement, we will run our own camera inspection and tell you whether a full replacement is actually necessary or whether a spot repair or lining would solve the problem. There is no charge for the inspection or the second opinion.
A cleanout is a capped access point that lets us reach your sewer line directly. We need direct access to the line to run a camera through it and to insert a liner. If your home has a cleanout, we use it — no digging required. If it does not, we can often access the line through a roof vent or by removing a toilet, but installing a cleanout is usually worth it on an older Tucson home because it makes every future inspection and repair simpler. We will tell you your options during the visit.
